The PhD in Legal Sciences aims primarily to provide advanced and specialized scientific training, based on the deepening of legal knowledge in various selected thematic areas, as well as on the learning of tools and methods of critical analysis necessary to understand and develop research skills. In particular, it intends to promote excellence in research primarily in studies dedicated to business law, human rights, governance of institutions as a whole, and sectoral policies in various dimensions, implementing a multilevel and multidisciplinary approach.
The high-level educational, laboratory, linguistic and computer-based training activities pursue specific qualification objectives, also through mobility programs abroad, combining scientific rigor and openness to dialogue. Consequently, the course program aims to ensure the development of qualified scientific competencies and research skills that proactively integrate into the current context to address the most relevant challenges.
Training through seminar activities and advanced research is integrated with interdisciplinary laboratory activities, mainly in computer and language studies. In order to promote the internationalization of the program, seminars in foreign languages and periods of mobility abroad are included, thus valuing qualified scientific experiences through comparison with other university and institutional realities. In addition, specialized seminars related to research methodology, as well as the constitution and management of research groups and fundraising activities for project financing, will be included.
A 6-month research stay abroad is provided (minimum 3, maximum 12 months).
The course is divided into two curricula:
